Mr. Noriega spent his early career from1968-1984 with Western Airlines working in reservations as an account executive and assistant sales and marketing manager. He promoted the airline to top retail and whole sale travel agencies and corporate travel departments; developed and promoted leisure and corporate programs; maintained close relationships with the most important tour operators, interline and foreign tourism representatives; and organized participation in industry trade shows.
From 1984-1993, Mr. Noriega was Director of International Sales for Holiday Inn managing production for hotels in the USA, Caribbean and South America. He also developed and promoted leisure and corporate programs; joint travel promotions for travel agents and journalists; managed trade shows in Mexico and abroad; and conducted direct mail campaigns. In this capacity, he had full responsibility for sales quotas and budget management.
As Worldwide Director of Sales for Holiday Inn from 1993-1998, he managed production and promotion of corporate and leisure programs with Aeromexico and Mexicana Airlines and promoted different hotel brands jointly with hotels in Mexico. He had further responsibility for production and promotion of corporate programs as well as sales quotas for the airline crew segment of the market. He represented the company before the USA Visit Committee and organized and managed an outside sales force supported by the Holiday Inn Owners Association of Mexico to sell and promote the Mexican hotels.
Mr. Noriega was Group Sales Manager for SIDEKTUR from1998-1999 where he was responsible for the various hotel brands in Mexico, promotion of corporate programs, increasing the portfolio of corporate customers and promotion of the hotel brands for the airline crew segment of the market among Mexican airlines.
From1999-2001, he promoted the MANDALAY BAY HOTEL LAS VEGAS before the gaming community in Mexico City. In this position, he gained a working knowledge of Nevada and international regulations for the control of money laundering and gaming fraud.
