Meet the Team

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1963, Troy Powell is a seasoned business professional with many years of experience managing a diverse list of successful companies. Troy was raised in the construction industry, apprenticing with his father who owned a large construction company in California. During this time, Troy learned many aspects of the construction business, including heavy equipment operation, cement, plaster, stucco, framing, tile, masonry, electrical, roofing, and drywall. Troy's entrepreneurial spirit began at an early age when he developed and marketed a product of his own invention. Troy also started an Upholstery business at age 16, which specialized in customization and restoration of automobiles, boats, etc. for 20 years and Troy won many awards for his showmanship, craftsmanship, and originality. There have been many other successful ventures including protective services for large corporations, musicians, models, and other influential people, as well as partnership in a number of successful nightclubs and taverns.

Over the past 18 years, Troy has solidified his expertise in the areas of development, construction, and real estate and Finance. First, with one of the largest developers in the Western United States, Troy helped to develop numerous single-family home projects, apartment complexes, mobile home parks, multi-family dwellings, condominiums, marinas, and golf courses. In December 2004, Troy started his own development companies and began developing in Florida. This evolved into the formation of Powell Development and Investment LLC in 2006, which currently has several real estate projects in various stages of development in USA, Mexico, and Costa Rica. These projects include a high-end luxury home community, waterfront townhouse and condominium projects, marinas, hotel, and signature golf course.

In addition to development and construction, Troy currently conducts business in many other areas such as biofuel; mining; oil brokering; distributorships for sales of construction and agricultural equipment; mortgage; and real estate. Troy and his associates formed Biofuel Mexico LLC in February 2007, and recently formed Asociacion de Productores de combustibles alternativos S. A. de C. V., to supply renewable energy from the largest Palm and Jatropha plantations in North and Central America. This fuel releases zero net carbon emissions into the atmosphere and will go a long way to reduce the world's dependence on crude oil. Troy's ventures in the Mining arena include the PDI Mining companies and Barite Pacific LLC, which are in the process of private equity placements and public offerings through pink sheets/bulletin board companies on the NASDAQ Stock Exchange. These companies own/control land, including the water, oil, and mineral rights, which are/will be mined for gold, gypsum, barite, and other precious metals.

With the beginning of the PDI SOFOM Troy has now broadened his scope to the Joint Venture and finance structuring of many types of companies and transactions in order to expand his portfolio into different fields due to today's unstable society. He is also partnering with clients and associates to use their funds to invest through his rigid underwriting and project web based monitoring. His use of independent accounting firms and management oversight gives all parties a source of security.

• Owner-operator and partner in a number of successful night clubs and taverns, limousines.
• Developed and marketed a product of his own invention.
